 - Iran vows to defy UN nuclear resolution - Yahoo! News
Feb 4, 2007 3:15pm iran http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20070204/wl_...

Iran has vowed to defy a UN resolution calling for a freeze to its controversial nuclear work but promised to open up its disputed uranium enrichment facility in Natanz to the media.
"We believe this resolution has legal and executive problems, we will not implement it, as we have said before," Gholamreza Aghazadeh head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization
UN resolution 1737 calls on Iran to halt uranium enrichment -- the process that makes nuclear fuel as well as the fissile core of an atomic bomb.
The resolution imposes limited sanctions on Iran for its refusal to freeze such work, which the West fears could be diverted to make weapons. Iran insists its nuclear programme is entirely peaceful.
Aghazadeh also promised journalists a visit to Iran's enrichment facility in Natanz "in seven or eight days to see the latest stages of the work," and that "good nuclear news will be announced soon," the Fars news agency reported.

 - Iraq plans summit with Iran and Syria - Los Angeles Times
Feb 4, 2007 2:58pm (1 review) middle-east http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/...- "The Iraqi government Thursday [February 1] invited Iran and Syria to Baghdad for talks next month on regional security, amid growing tension and accusations by the Bush administration of foreign meddling in Iraqi affairs."
"Iraqi officials have not invited the United States to the meeting"
"The Bush administration has delayed the release of information it says will show Iran is meddling in Iraq, raising concern from some quarters that the evidence is inconclusive."
""Iran is kind of the culprit of the week or the month," said James Dobbins, an international security expert at Rand Corp., who said the Bush administration had produced little compelling evidence that Iran was actively encouraging attacks on U.S. troops in Iraq."

- I have assembled a timeline (incomplete) of the propaganda and Bush's aggression aimed at Iran. When you read this I hope you will understand why I believe that impeachment is the only way to stop this madness. Congress will not be able to stop him through mandates. He already has the troupes ready to invade Iran without the consent of Congress. -

Iran Excitation to War time-line:
February 2, 2007
"Every single day the US puts out another statement about how Iran is helping in attacks against US troops in Iraq. This is nothing but complete lies. The same type of lies we heard before the Iraq War. The Iranians support the Shiites in Iraq. The insurgents laying down the IEDs against our troops and that are doing a great majority of the attacks against us are - Sunnis! opednews.com/articles/opedne_cenk_uyg_070202_impeach_2c_impeach_2c_im.htm [opednews.com/articles/opedne_cenk_uyg_070202_impeach_2c_impeach_2c_im.htm]
The Iranians would never support the Sunnis. The Shiite militias are mainly killing Sunnis now, not US troops. This is so obvious, but unfortunately these new set of lies are challenged by so few people, just like in the lead up to the Iraq War. People are more skeptical now, but not nearly skeptical enough as the war machine revs up again."
"The lies that this administration clearly told about Iraq is more than enough to impeach the president and the vice president. They purposely lied during the State of the Union speech, they lied that they knew where the weapons of mass destruction were and they lied that they were certain that Saddam had them. Certain! Really, then where are they?"
January 18, 2007
"Across the world, a dangerous rumor has spread that could have catastrophic implications. According to legend, Iran's President has threatened to destroy Israel, or, to quote the misquote, "Israel must be wiped off the map". Contrary to popular belief, this statement was never made, as the following article will prove." - thetruthseeker.co.uk/print.asp [thetruthseeker.co.uk/print.asp]

"The escalation of US military planning on Iran is only the latest chess move in a six-year push within the Bush Administration to attack Iran..."
"The motivations for an Iran strike were laid out as far back as 1992. In classified defense planning guidance - written for then-Secretary of Defense Dick Cheney by then-Pentagon staffers I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, World Bank Chief Paul Wolfowitz, and ambassador-nominee to the United Nations Zalmay Khalilzad - Cheney's aides called for the United States to assume the position of lone superpower and act preemptively to prevent the emergence of even regional competitors." globalresearch.ca/index.php [globalresearch.ca/index.php]

CJA goes beyond the facade
To show you the denial of fundamental rights by judges and lawyers who place themselves not only above the law, but beyond the law, with actual cases of individuals, stories of lawyers and judges who failed to conform, and with reports issued by courts and by organizations, demonstrating an urgent need for judicial reform in the civil justice system, which has been converted into a lucrative fee operation."
"...the failure of the legal system has been found by a noted psychologist, Karin Huffer to inflict severe psychological harm as well on the victims, to which she coined the terms "Legal Abuse Syndrome" a form of "Post Traumatic Stress Disorder". The victims are traumatized not only by the crass treatment accorded to them in the courtroom, but upon being confronted by the fact that fundamental civil rights guaranteed under the U.S. Constitution are trampled upon. Many victims do start out represented by attorneys, but unable to continue to pay their fees, or out of frustration end up as pro se litigants. They continue on the litigation in some faint hope that the truth and law will prevail or it must prevail because that is what the constitution and the law says. However, that would apply only in a court of law, administered by men and women of honesty and integrity, but unfortunately not where the judiciary have manipulated the system to place themselves above and beyond the law."

 - Authoritative Report Confirms Human Activity Driving Global Warming
Feb 2, 2007 5:44pm (1 review) environment http://ucsusa.org/news/press_release/aut...
"Authoritative Report Confirms Human Activity Driving Global Warming"
"Strongest evidence yet that human activity is causing warming in atmosphere, land, and oceans."
"The report confirms that the current level of carbon dioxide, a critical heat-trapping gas in the atmosphere, "exceeds by far the natural range over the last 650,000 years." Since the dawn of the industrial era, carbon dioxide and other key heat-trapping gases have increased at a rate that is "very likely to have been unprecedented in more than 10,000 years."
This unprecedented increase has led to warming of the atmosphere, land, and ocean:
- Eleven of the last twelve years rank among the twelve hottest years on record.
- "The maximum area covered by seasonally frozen ground has decreased by about 7 percent in the Northern Hemisphere since 1900, with a decrease in spring of up to 15 percent."
- "More intense and longer droughts have been observed over wider areas since the 1970s, particularly in the tropics and subtropics." Droughts have been linked to changes in sea surface temperatures and wind patterns and decreased snowpack and snow cover.
- Find it is likely that future tropical cyclones (typhoons and hurricanes) will become more intense, with higher peak wind speeds and more heavy precipitation associated with warmer tropical seas.
- Suggest that if global average temperatures were to exceed 1.9 to 4.6 degrees C (3.4 to 8.3 degrees F) compared to pre-industrial temperatures, the Greenland ice sheet would lose mass faster than it gains, producing a net contribution to sea level rise. If sustained, the loss of ice would eventually lead to complete elimination of the Greenland ice sheet and contribute an additional 23 feet to sea level rise.
- Project a greater than 90 percent likelihood that hot extremes, heat waves, and heavy precipitation events will continue to become more frequent.
"What we've observed and what we expect to see make it critical that we meaningfully reduce our emissions," said Ekwurzel. "We can still avoid catastrophic climate change, but only if we start today."

"Out of concern that inappropriate political interference and media favoritism are compromising federal climate science, the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) and the Government Accountability Project (GAP) undertook independent investigations of federal climate science."
"Congress and agency leaders must act to end political interference in science. Federal agencies should adopt communications policies that promote a free and open exchange of information and include the following points:
* Scientific freedoms%u2014Federal scientists have a constitutional right to speak about any subject so long as the scientists make it clear that they do so in their private capacity. Scientists must also have a "right of last review" on agency communications related to their research.
* Scientific openness%u2014Scientists should not be subject to restrictions on media contacts beyond a policy of informing public affairs officials in advance of an interview and summarizing the interaction for them afterward.
* Communication of scientific findings%u2014Federal agencies should support the free exchange of scientific information in all venues.
* Whistleblower protection%u2014Scientists who speak out when they see interference or suppression of science should be protected from retribution. Agencies should affirmatively educate their employees of their rights under these statutes.
Furthermore, Congress should extend whistleblower protection to scientists who report interference and should continue to hold oversight hearings and investigations into allegations of manipulation, suppression, and distortion of science.""
