If Bush is not indicted how will he serve out his term as president, given that 90% of Americans believe the Bush administration is guilty of illegal or unethical behavior in the CIA leak case?
For three more years America is going to be led by not just a lame duck president, but a totally discredited president.

"While you were, ah, distracted, Congress was quietly renewing every major provision of the Patriot Act." They were supposed to "sunset" the act this month.
"...they'd like to add some decidedly unpatriotic amendments to expand the death penalty." >>>>> And if the Jury is deadlocked the prosecutor can find a new jury that will find you guilty. I say, this should not just apply to us common folk. The indictments of DeLay, Rumsfeld, and all politicians who are perverting this country should have a jury trial with these new amendments. In their case justice would be dune. >> _

Hear the best of the Mike Malloy show. He is the flip side of Rush Limbla. He talks strait. No conservative talking points here. His tag line is 'Have I told you how much I hate these people!'

This puts Libby in perspective.

Friday, Oct 28th: Libby Indicted

A five-count indictment against the chief aide to the Vice President of the United States has been issued by the special prosecutor investigating what has come to be known as the Valerie Plame case. Irving Lewis Libby - among others -- so thoroughly obstructed the investigation into the Valerie Plame case that the prosecutor, Patrick Fitzgerald, had to indict Libby just to get him out of the way. Next comes Karl Rove. A different grand jury will hear evidence Fitzgerald has painstakingly gathered over the past 22 months, evidence that shows a pattern of corruption that permeates every office, every dark corner, every member of the Bush Crime Family's so-called "White House Iraq Group." Here was an offshoot of the Cheney-Rumsfeld cabal whose sole purpose was to develop, market and merchandise a war. An unprovoked war. A bloody war that has taken the lives of thousands and a war from which it now seems impossible to disengage. An op-ed piece written by Valerie Plame's husband that said the Bush thugs were lying in their stated reasons for attacking Iraq caused so much rage inside the WHIG a plan was devised to retaliate: the revealing of an undercover CIA agent - Valerie Plame - without regard to the possible life and death consequences of such a criminal act. Irving Libby will now work his way through the criminal justice system with the best legal defense money can buy. The eventual outcome of his trial will be nothing more than a footnote to the outrageous machinations of a berserk administration bent on death, destruction and power. Meanwhile, Fitzgerald will continue to pursue the criminals who -- through their complete disdain and disrespect for truth -- have sent thousands of Americans and Iraqis to their deaths. We are living through a horrific chapter in modern US history. We must bring it to a close by removing from office -- legally and peacefully -- those Republicans in the executive and legislative branches of our government who have so willfully violated the law and destroyed the honor of this country. Join me tonight for the discussion.-MM"
US poor set to lose food stamps - World - smh.com.au

Trick or treat? Trick!!!!!!!!
With more than 38 million Americans too poor to buy adequate food, the US Congress has begun to take away the food stamps many of them receive.

The Republican majority on the House Agriculture Committee has approved budget cuts that will take "food stamps" away from an estimated 300,000 people and could cut off school lunches and breakfasts for 40,000 children.

The action came as the US Government reported that the number of people who are hungry because they can't afford to buy enough food rose to 38.2 million in 2004, an increase of seven million in five years.

The number represents nearly 12 per cent of US households.
